October 18 saw a suitably branded BYD/Alexander Dennis Enviro400EV embark on a tour of the UK which will take in a number of low carbon energy and transport projects before arriving in Glasgow on October 29, three days before the COP26 climate change summit opens in the city.
The tour started from Go-Ahead London’s Northumberland Park garage, currently home to the largest fleet of battery-electric buses in the UK. It is also the site of the Bus2Grid project that allows battery-electric buses to become two-way chargers, putting power back into the grid at times of high demand.
