Arriva London will no longer operate two south London routes, the 133 (Streatham – Holborn) and 333 (Elephant & Castle – Tooting Broadway) from next January. New contracts will see them pass to Abellio London and Go Ahead London’s London General respectively. Both will receive new battery electric double-deckers although these may not be introduced in time for the new contracts. Go Ahead London’s Blue Triangle operation has been rewarded contracts for the East London Transit services, EL1 (Barking Riverside – Ilford), EL2 (Becontree Heath – Dagenham Dock) and EL3 (Barking Riverside – Little Heath).

New contracts for two routes threatened with withdrawal as part of Transport for London’s central London bus review have been re-awarded. Whilst route 349 (Ponders End – Stamford Hill) will continue to be operated by Arriva London using New Routemasters, the D7 (Mile End – Poplar) will pass from Go-Ahead London’s Docklands Buses unit to Stagecoach East London from this December. New battery electric doubledeckers, running out of Ash Grove garage, will replace the Wrightbus-bodied Volvo B9TLs currently used. In common with other recent awards based on the use of New Routemaster buses that for the 349, 32 / N32 (Edgware – Kilburn Park / Edgware – Victoria) 59 (St Bartholomew's Hospital – Streatham Hill) 137 / N137 (Marble Arch – Streatham Hill / Oxford Circus – Crystal Palace) and the East London Transit routes are for five years. A five-year term will also apply to schoolday service 602 (Thamesmead – Townley Grammar School).
