A tale of two local authorities, neighbours but completely different in their approach to bus use, promotion and timetables.

I live in the coastal and moorland area of south Devon. Here, Devon County Council produces concise and easy-to-read area timetable books based on district council areas with a map with frequencies for Exeter’s higher frequency city network, which is a legacy from the minibus era.

The books for the late-May bank holiday all services in the various from high frequency services to community transport and Fare Car taxi services in the most rural county. Unless there is a significant in the routes and frequencies, are not reprinted, although amendment sheets or winter timetable are printed in late September changes.
