Cuts coming across the country

NEWS

Although the Network Review process required by the Department for Transport only concluded at the end of June, a raft of cuts will take effect across the summer, ahead of the ending of additional Covid-19 subsidies in England at the beginning of October.

Carousel Buses will reshape its High Wycombe-based network from July 24. Hourly service 103 to Watford will be truncated at Amersham, while route 40 to Thame is withdrawn altogether, with Red Rose stepping in to provide a replacement. Also withdrawn is Chesham-Uxbridge route 105. However, some of the resources will be used to provide more buses between High Wycombe, Beaconsfield and Uxbridge, as well as reinstating the extension of route 102 from Uxbridge to Heathrow Airport.
