‘Day Circular’ Challenge

Time is running out! The present enddate for the government’s bus fares subsidy is closing in on cheap travel opportunities, just as the longer, warmer days of early summer are making them even more attractive. What can we do to extend the benefits of the one, and enjoy the full potential of the other?

As a bus user, I feel that my options are twofold: campaign for a further extension, while making the best possible practical use of existing bus services under the present fare conditions. Here, I want to focus upon the second of these courses of action, by proposing the following light-hearted challenge for Buses readers, whether retired or of working age, and either as individuals or in the company of others.
