•NAVYA has sold two Arma driverless electric shuttles to Japan and is opening an office in the United States in downtown Chicago, its first facility outside France.

• TWO ELECTRIC bus trials have been agreed for the Canadian province of Ontario. Brampton Transit will operate up to 10 (some supplied by New Flyer) while York Region Transit is taking six (two from Volvo-owned Nova and four from New Flyer) for the town of Newmarket. Both will use Volvo’s OppCharge overhead charging stations.

• TROLLEYBUSES may return to the Uruguayan capital Montevideo after 25 years following talks with Russian manufacturer Trolza (previously ZiU), which has an assembly plant in Cordoba, Argentina.
