Going Forward routes in rural Oxfordshire

Further to last month’s story about GoRide quitting Oxfordshire, new operator Going Forward Buses advises that the 134 service from Wallingford runs to Goring & Streatley railway station, not Cholsey.

It has increased the number of journeys from seven on weekdays and five on Saturdays to nine and has also altered the route to run through Goring village centre before terminating at the railway station.

Going Forward Buses has bought two of GoRide’s 14-seat Bluebird minibuses and hopes to use a third to introduce another weekday service between Goring and Reading. Thames Travel continues to operate its half-hourly service 136 between Wallingford and Cholsey.
