Howards Travel Omega Busways

Founded: December 2004 when Ian Howard, former engineer at Crosville’s Runcorn depot, started circular service in Runcorn using Carlylebodied Dennis Dart H881 LOX. Service lasted around a year and business moved to present site in 2006 with coaches introduced.
Martin Roberts operated Springfield Bus & Coach on same site from 2008 and sold that business to Howard in 2010. Both companies traded concurrently, as coach and schoolbus operators, but Springfield closed 2018 after Howards withdrew from all its school and council contracts.
Omega Busways incorporated 2020 and has adopted home-to-work journeys to employment centres. Two local bus service contracts operated on behalf of Warrington Council. Howards Travel also operates a dealership, selling and refurbishing mid-life buses.
