Founded: 2002 as Harrogate Coach Travel when Craig Temple, operations manager for Eddie Brown Tours, tendered successfully for Ripon-York/Boroughbridge routes surrendered by Harrogate & District. He bid for the work before leaving full-time job. Started with ECW-bodied Leyland Olympians C171/2 ECK and Optare MetroRiders J704/10 CGK. First new bus, Optare Solo L50 LOW (YX57 AUY), purchased 2007.

Business rebranded March 2011 as Connexions Buses. Moved from Tockwith Airfield to present depot site 2014.

Expanded through tendered service gains and development of several into commercial routes. Took over some Eddie Brown Tours services December 2014 and acquired five of its Scania L94UB/Wright Solars from finance company in 2015. Introduced York commercial service Super 13 (Copmanthorpe-Haxby) 2016 when First withdrew. Service 64 (Leeds-Aberford) franchised by First from 2018 and operated commercially from 2021.
