Founded: 1968, as Selwyns Mini Travel, by Robert Alun Jones who named company after his son Selwyn, who took over after his father died in 1975. Operated minicoaches until 1979, when 10-vehicle firm purchased 30-vehicle coach operator Yates, Runcorn. Started operations at Manchester Airport 1984, purchased contract business of Starline Travel, Knutsford 1996 (when North Western took over Starline’s bus routes). Acquired Hardings Tours, Huyton March 2006 and Hayton, Burnage (Manchester) December 2011. Operated tours and excursions 2006-18.

Ran six Merseytravel electric minibuses in St Helens 2002-14 from purpose built PTEprocured depot.

RATP Dev acquired Selwyns March 2013. Occupied new depots in Manchester and Prenton, Wirral, the latter in April 2019 after being vacated by Avon Buses, which ceased trading October 2018. Selwyn Jones retired autumn 2019.
