First Travel Solutions, First’s rail replacement and special events division, has won the contract to provide a shuttle coach service at the Boardmasters Festival in Newquay on 9 to 13 August.
Coaches will connect the Watergate Bay festival site with Newquay town centre between 07.00 and 04.30 each day of the event, which includes music performances, professional and amateur surfing, skate and BMX events in the Cornish town.
‘There’s not a huge amount of downtime on this particular project, which is a challenge we’re looking forward to managing,’ says FTS commercial director Richard Kirk.
