Cardiff Bus places £1.5m Enviro200 order

Council-owned Cardiff Bus has placed a £1.5million order for 10 Alexander Dennis Enviro200 single-deckers for its 228-vehicle fleet.

The 9.7m vehicles will be built at the Plaxton plant in Scarborough to a specification that includes closed-circuit television, free 4G WiFi, USB charging points and next-stop audio and visual information.

Managing director Cynthia Ogbonna says Cardiff Bus has spent £10million on new vehicles over the past five years. ‘The new fleet will enhance the reliability of our service, which is the single most important factor that customers, and potential customers, take into account when deciding to use our services.’
