Scania UK has announced Scania Go, its new premium used vehicle programme.
Participating dealers will offer handpicked buses and coaches, alongside trucks, supported by a set of flexible benefits. Scania said the system is ‘designed to take away the stress when buying’ while ensuring Scania’s highest standards for used vehicles are met. Customers can tailor the support they receive from Scania UK and its 84 nationwide service centres and 20 specialist bus and coach dealer points.
The benefits include a 30-day ‘no quibble’ replacement guarantee, where a vehicle can be exchanged for another should a mechanical or electrical fault develop. Prior to purchase, vehicles receive a ‘300+ line-item mechanical and cosmetic inspection.’
Scania initially planned to offer a ‘replace before failure guarantee’ to all vehicles. Through this, selected vehicle components which are approaching their anticipated end-of-life mileage are replaced before the vehicle is sold. This includes parts like turbochargers, clutch release bearings and the after treatment DPF. A 12-month warranty will cover replaced components. However, Scania has since decided to only offer this service for trucks.
