Following the collapse of its parent company in the summer, the trade and assets of mapmaker and information provider FWT have been acquired by Pindar Creative.
FWT is well known as a provider of printed publicity, but also offered an interactive web-based mapping service, Cartogold. This is used by several counties, including Devon, Durham, East Sussex and Essex. Clicking on a service on the map provides a link to the timetable for that route.
Aylesbury-based Pindar Creative offers similar services, including for South Yorkshire, the West Midlands and its home county of Buckinghamshire. Peterborough uses its interactive mapping product.
Pindar Creative managing director Carl Thomas says: ‘Bringing the recognised and highly respected FWT brand into the business will complement our existing reputation in the industry.’ He hopes to retain the services of skilled FWT staff.
