Helsinki launches Finland’s first fleet of electric buses

HSL, the transport authority for Finnish capital Helsinki, launched its first all-electric buses in January.

The 12 single-deckers are built by Finnish electric bus builder Linkker and are powered by a drivetrain from Finnish marine electric specialist Visedo. Six similar vehicles are on order for the Finnish city of Turku and two for the Danish capital, Copenhagen. HSL wants a third of its buses to be electric by 2025.
