Van Hool maintained its habitually large presence at Busworld — it is the only volume manufacturer based in Belgium — with a six-vehicle display of four coaches and two buses.
None was being seen for the first time, but for many visitors this was their first opportunity to get up close to the new T range coach announced 11 months earlier and which is expected to be available in the UK and Ireland from 2025.
By Van Hool’s standards, this is a revolution in design, with a curved and more aerodynamic front profile more in tune with North American tastes than the upright lines that have characterised its coaches for the past 50 years. But it is still unmistakably a Van Hool, one that the family-owned company describes as “elegant and timeless” and intends to produce for the next ten years.
