Operators should make full use of feedback from their smartphone-carrying customers in order to find out what kind of service they really need, says German cult blogger and columnist Sascha Lobo.
Giving a keynote address at Bus2Bus in Berlin, the 32-year-old predicted growth for operators prepared to innovate.
‘People must also want to use buses rather than just need to use them, even if it is a tad more expensive than other forms of travel,’ he says. ‘Think of what former Bogota mayor Gustavo Petro once said: “A developed country is not a place where the poor have cars. It’s where the rich use public transport”.’
