Having come from nowhere to dominate the market for fare collection outside London, Ticketer now has its sights set on export markets and is poised to launch an app that could be the bus industry’s answer to the household name cab hailing products. ALAN MILLAR reports.

It says much about the breakneck pace at which electronic ticketing and fare collection has unfolded that the market leader, Ticketer, did not exist until 10 years ago. Such has been the payment revolution on Britain’s buses.
