• SWEDISH city Östersund is to trial six opportunity charged Scania Citywide electric single-deckers on a 14km route. Three are due by the end of this year, three more in early 2019. Norwegian state railway-owned Nettbuss will operate them.
• THE CANADIAN city of Edmonton has placed a third order with Grande West Transportation for 33 Chinese-built Vicinity midibuses due early next year, taking its fleet up to 49.

• THE DRIVERLESS Navya Arma minibus shuttle is to begin a two-year trial at Christchurch Airport, New Zealand.
• IVECO is supplying 628 locally bodied schoolbuses to the federal state of Minas Gerais, Brazil. It began selling buses in Brazil in 2014.
• BYD has won a 40-vehicle order for its Electric Blu airport bus from Australian ground service company Carbridge, which already operates six at Sydney Airport.
