A small but perfectly followed system


Fifty years after the system closed, Reading’s trolleybuses continue to promote an interest beyond that one would expect for a network that comprised only four routes and never operated over 58 vehicles at any one time. One reason for this no doubt is that the British Trolleybus Society (BTS) has its origins in the Reading Transport Society, formed in 1961.
