Slow journeys discourage non-users from taking the bus

I have been reading with interest the comments made by industry experts on how to reverse the downward trend in bus ridership.

It is impossible not to agree with the points made about the lack of real action — as opposed to almost empty words accompanied by token action — by central and local government. However, I find the experts’ views quite strange when they say what the industry must do to stem the flow.
