SIR BRIAN ENLARGES COLLECTION AS STAGECOACH SELLS HERITAGE VEHICLES

Stagecoach co-founder and former chairman Sir Brian Souter has acquired several of the group’s heritage vehicles, while 11 others have been advertised for sale.

Sir Brian has secured the long-term future of 14000 (F110 NES), one of three tri-axle Leyland Olympians with Alexander RL bodies that Stagecoach bought in 1989 and the only one with 110 seats. Latterly part of the Stagecoach East fleet, it had been in store for three years at the company’s Ely outstation, which has been closed, and is joining his other preserved vehicles at the Scottish Vintage Bus Museum at Lathalmond.
