RALLY GUIDE 2021/22

The Fenland BusFest, normally held in May, is scheduled for 25 July this year. Taking part in 2019 was preserved Eastern Counties VR190 (VPW 85S), ordered by Waveney District Council but delivered after the Lowestoft local authority sold its bus operation in 1977. It was originally to have been registered RPW 190R but Bristol Commercial Vehicles used it for brake testing. It was crossing Beggars Bridge over Bevills Leam at Coates, between Whittlesey and March.

The Covid-19 outbreak first identified in China hadbecome a global pandemic and the UK — like most of the world — imposed draconian controls to try to limit its spread. Most of the bus events planned for the spring of 2020 were cancelled by late March and only a few of those scheduled for the remainder of the year went ahead in any form.
