Publicity provision is poor at best

The letters from Malcolm Chase and Colin Evans (You Write last month) highlight an issue that has annoyed me for years. The publicity provided by most bus operators is very poor at best, non-existent at worst. I have dealt with operators in my work for the Campaign for Better Transport for many years. Off-bus publicity (timetable leaflets and roadside displays) varies from adequate to abysmal.
