Morecambe debut for Ribble Javelin

PRESERVATION UPDATE

The Ribble Vehicle Preservation Trust’s Morecambe Vintage Bus Day an 28 May was the debut rally of recantly restored Duple 300 B63F-bodied Dennis Javelin Fl35 SPX.one of three new to Hampehire Bus in March 1669 on 801 -3. nearly two years after Stagecoach bought the business from the National Bus Company.

Stagecaoch later transferred all three to Stagecoach Ribble es its 135-7 and allocated them to its White Lund depot in Morecambe where they remained until withdrawn in 2006, by which time they were numbered 27035-7 in the group-wide national scheme.

All three then passed to Northern Blue, with 136 finally going to Morton’s of Little London. Hampshire.
