More DRT schemes start up

More of the 17 Demand Responsive Transport (DRT) schemes funded by the government's £20m Rural Mobility Fund are coming to fruition.

Cheshire East Council has received £1.2m, to introduce the ‘go-too’ on-demand minibus service in an area to the south and west of Nantwich. Journeys can be made anywhere within the zone, except within Nantwich itself.

Operating hours are 0700-2100 Monday to Saturday, with a £3 flat fare, reduced to £2 for concessionary pass holders and under 16s. It is operated by the council's own company, Transport Service Solutions Ltd, using Mellor-bodied Fiats and Via software.
