LOOK IN ON LONDON

The first stage of Transport for London’s Superloop network of limited stop bus services saw route 607 (Uxbridge – White City) renumbered SL8 from July 15. Vehicles used on the route have also received branding. USB charging has also been provided on buses and stops served by the route have also gained Superloop roundels. The timetable for SL8 will be enhanced to provide more early morning and evening buses from August 19.
On July 31, route X68 (West Croydon – Russell Square) was renumbered SL6 whilst the X26 (Heathrow – West Croydon) will become the SL7 and have its daytime frequency doubled from August 19. In anticipation of this, buses on route X26 had their dedicated route branding (Look in on London – July) removed to allow Superloop branding to be applied. The X140 (Heathrow – Harrow) will become route SL9 in due course and the new Canary Wharf – Grove Park service, previously referred to as route X239, will be the SL4.
Most Superloop routes will be numbered sequentially in a clockwise order. The X34 (North Finchley – Walthamstow) and X183 (Harrow -North Finchley), which have been subject of public consultations, will operate as the SL1 and SL10 respectively. Consultations have launched for routes SL2 (Walthamstow – North Woolwich), SL3 (Bromley – Thamesmead) and SL5 (Croydon – Bromley).
