There has been much comment recently about the value or otherwise of printed timetable leaflets or booklets in the digital age. My view is simple: the more information you give your customers about your products, the better. A printed booklet is one of the tools you have, along with an easy to access and use website. I’m delighted most of my competitors have given up producing printed information. It gives me an extra competitive advantage.

Recently my partner and I spent a week in Ludlow, and a trip out by bus is always an essential part of our holiday. I thought I would play the part of an ordinary eco conscious tourist wanting to use public transport for my holiday. Finding information about getting to Ludlow by train is relatively simple, so let’s assume we do that and don’t try any more complicated alternatives.
