This new picture album from Amberley has a topical theme, as Keith Jenkinson uses 180 photographs - all but one in colour - to tell the story of the Wrights business from formation in 1946 through its development into a major bus builder in the 1990s and transformation into a chassis builder in the 2010s to collapse last autumn and rescue by industrialist Jo Bamford.
The pictures - many by the author or from his own collection - include a few commercial vehicles along with the many buses, and also show some of the output of the related Nu-Track company still owned by the Wright family.
An eight-page history of the highlights of the past 74 years ends with the confident prediction that, in new ownership, Wrightbus ‘will do doubt continue to be an innovative company embracing new technology’.
