GAS FOR NOTTINGHAM

Nottingham City Transport has taken delivery of its first of 53 biogas-fuelled double-deckers and remains committed to owning at least 120 if the funding for them becomes available. ALAN MILLAR has been looking closely at how these have been designed to provided maximum passenger appeal.

Steady rain fails to diminish the public’s eagerness to inspect the new double-deckers on display in Old Market Square on 19 May.

As they made their way through the rain in the Old Market Square on Friday 19 May, shoppers and commuters in Nottingham were treated to the colourful sight of five newlook double-deckers lined up on public display for the day. Gas power had arrived in a city already served by electric buses and modern trams.
