Founded: 1983, when haulier Paul Winson, in business since 1976, purchased Charnwood Coaches of Shepshed with four Bedford coaches, two with Plaxton Supreme bodies and two bodied by Unicar, along with school and works contracts. Haulage ceased within six months.

Based initially at Station Avenue, Loughborough and moved to current premises 1994. Sons Paul, Anthony and Matthew joined business between 1991 and 2001 and are now directors. Acquired Schofield Travel, Loughborough 2001. First new coach, Bova Futura 25 (G25 YRY), purchased 1990.

Paul S. Winson Engineering undertakes work for dealers and other operators.

Where does it operate: Tendered Loughborough local services 3/13 (Baxter Gate), 129 (Loughborough-Ashby de la Zouch) and commercial service X26 (Loughborough-Rothley) Mondays to Saturdays, Thursdays-only 120X (Loughborough-Markfield). Corporate and group travel, British and Continental tours, over 300 day excursions from pick-up points between Leicester and Kegworth. Private hire, rail replacements and numerous school contracts in Leicestershire, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire
