Alexander Dennis Enviro400ER 319 (YX69 NWG) is named after Reginald Noyce, who worked for Brighton Corporation Transport from 1934 until his death in 1983, when he was an assistant manager.

Founded: 21 April 1986 to take over the Brighton and Hove operations of the National Bus Company’s Southdown Motor Services. Dormant Brighton Hove & District Omnibus Company renamed Brighton & Hove Bus and Coach Company.

Sold May 1987 to management buyout, which in turn sold to Go-Ahead Group November 1993. In May 1997, acquired 83-vehicle Brighton Blue Bus, the former municipal arms length company owned by its employees and management since 1993. In September 2005, acquired Stagecoach operations centred on Lewes including services to Tunbridge Wells and Uckfield, and remaining share of Brighton-Eastbourne route.
