After a digital-only event last year, Buses Festival came back on August 8 and is thought to be the largest bus rally held since before the pandemic. The new venue of the East of England Showground, Peterborough, made a good impression on visitors, who appreciated the greater amount of space between vehicles for improved photo opportunities and closer proximity to traders. With pre-booked tickets up on previous years, attendance from enthusiasts was high.

The late venue and date change and the lingering impact of the Covid-19 pandemic meant there were not quite as many buses and coaches on display as in previous years, though organisers are confident that next year’s line-up will be significantly larger. Buses Festival will once again be held at the East of England Showground on August 7, 2022.
