Commercial directors for two First businesses
First Bus has recruited from outside the bus industry to fill its vacancies for commercial directors at its West Yorkshire and West of England businesses. Martin Hirst joins First West Yorkshire from national retailer Boots, while Rob Pymm comes to First West of England from international delivery company DHL Express. Both will be in charge of fares and tickets, local marketing strategy, stakeholder engagement and contract tendering.
Evans and Whiteway join the Optare team
Former Alexander Dennis group service director Brian Evans has succeeded Lawrence Govender in charge of Optare’s aftermarket activity. Former Epsom Coaches managing director Steve Whiteway has joined the manufacturer in an ambassadorial role, supporting the introduction of electric buses into London and surrounding areas.
