BUH 240V - Leyland National B44F Mark 2

BUH 240V was new in 1980 and was one of three Mark 2 Leyland Nationals delivered to National Welsh.

BUH 240V was delivered to Porth depot in the Rhondda Valleys where it usually was found working on either the 244 of X8 services. In 1986 it was transferred to the New Caerphilly Buslink operation and painted inthe red and yellow livery but this was short lived. Over the next few months it worked from Brynmawr, Cwmbran and Abergavenny before ending up in Chepstow with the other two of the batch.

In 1987 BUH 240V along with the other two from the batch, were sold to Burnley and Pendle and later went on to Stagecoach Ribble. Sometime later BUH 240V was sold on to Specialist training Services in Liverpool where it worked until July 2007. It was then purchased by its current owner direct from Liverpool for preservation and has been in use at rallies since May 2009.
